We have a Veteran's Day program at MECC, and a man (can't remember his name) sang that song. He did a very good job!
Since its veterans day I thought it would be good to post the lyrics to this song. Lets keep all soilders in our thoughts and prayers and not forget the men who have paid the ultimate sacrifice. It is a privlage to be an American and our veterans are the people who have given us the privlage.
ALL GAVE SOME, SOME GAVE ALL
Have You Forgotten?
(Darryl Worley/Wynn Varble)
I hear people saying we don't need this war
I say there's some things worth fighting for
What about our freedom and this piece of ground
We didn't get to keep 'em by backing down
They say we don't realize the mess we're getting in
Before you start your preaching let me ask you this my friend
Have you forgotten how it felt that day?
To see your homeland under fire
And her people blown away
Have you forgotten when those towers fell?
We had neighbors still inside going thru a living hell
And you say we shouldn't worry 'bout bin Laden
Have you forgotten?
They took all the footage off my T.V.
Said it's too disturbing for you and me
It'll just breed anger that's what the experts say
If it was up to me I'd show it everyday
Some say this country's just out looking for a fight
After 9/11 man I'd have to say that's right
Have you forgotten how it felt that day?
To see your homeland under fire
And her people blown away
Have you forgotten when those towers fell?
We had neighbors still inside going thru a living hell
And you say we shouldn't worry 'bout bin Laden
Have you forgotten?
I've been there with the soldiers
Who've gone away to war
And you can bet that they remember
Just what they're fighting for
Have you forgotten how it felt that day?
To see your homeland under fire
And her people blown away
Have you forgotten when those towers fell?
We had neighbors still inside going thru a living hell
And you say we shouldn't worry 'bout bin Laden
Have you forgotten?
Have you forgotten all the people killed?
Some went down like heros in that Pennsylvania field
Have you forgotten about our Pentagon?
All the loved ones that we lost and those left to carry on
Don't you tell me not to worry about bin Laden
Have you forgotten?
Have you forgotten?
Have you forgotten?
It is hard to fail, but it is worse never to have tried to succeed.
-Teddy Roosevelt

Yeah I was there playing taps on my trumpet. Was a good program.
Deja Moo: The feeling that you've heard this bull before.
That you know of. I wish you would take the blinders off long enough to see the real world. Iraq needs to be taken care of. Afganistan needs to be finished. But as the old saying goes, Rome wasn't built in a day. You make some very fine points alot of the time on here, but your so called no-it-all attitude about world affairs eats at me. Have a very nice day!
I agree Burrhead.

HOW'S THAT HOPE AND CHANGE WORKING OUT FOR YA ??????
people like spuds & gcdevil22 have no idea of the history and reasoning behind the confilicts in the middle east. they watch the extreme left-winged news broadcasts at night and form their opinions from that. you guys are easily swayed by public opinion. currently, it is en vogue to be anti-bush or anti-war. people just want to be different. i believe you guys just want to be different.
I believe these guys have had these views before the new public rage to oppose the stupid idiot we have in office.
I was married by a judge. I should have asked for a jury.
